90th Anniversary Kickoff

Sunday, July 30^th (Combine Worship Service – 9AM)
We invite you to help kickoff our anniversary celebration by wearing your favorite Union Chapel T-Shirt. If you don’t have a Union Chapel Shirt, we encourage you to wear a maroon-colored shirt or your favorite faith based shirt during our combined worship service

Anniversary Banquet

Friday, August 11

Union Chapel is excited to announce the 90^th Church Anniversary Banquet. The banquet will be held on Friday, August 11^th, at 6:00 PM, for members in the church fellowship hall. Seating is limited and registration is required for all participants. Online registration is now available for one week on the church’s website through Monday, July 31^st. Members of the Fellowship Ministry will be available in the church foyer on Sunday, July 23^rd and Sunday, July 30^th to assist members with registration. Community Service Day

Saturday, August 12

As part of our 90th Anniversary, Union Chapel will host its monthly Community Service Project by serving 200 Hot Lunches to those in need of food on Saturday, July 8^th, beginning at 12 p.m. at the 100 Orange Drive location. The Caring and Sharing Pantry will also be available to members of the community from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. If you would like to volunteer to serve, please contact Min. Marquis.

Elegant Hat Sunday

Sunday, August 13 - Wear your Favorite CROWN

We encourage ALL ladies to adorn their crowns on Sunday, August 13^th. All generations—newborns to our elders—we want to see you in your favorite headpiece. We look forward to seeing your historical, cultural, and fashionable selections for elegant hat Sunday!

Basketball Tournament

Friday, August 18

Are you looking to showcase your basketball skills? If so, then we are looking for you to participate in our Union Chapel 90^th Anniversary Basketball Tournament on Friday, August 18^th, at 6:00 PM. Participants are asked to sign-up at the welcome center by Friday, August 11^th. Concessions will be available. We encourage everyone to attend for what will be an evening to remember. Anniversary Picnic

Saturday, August 19th
The 90th Church Anniversary Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 19th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. There will be food, games for adults and children, and fellowship. There will be a Checkers and JENGA Tournament; Bible Trivia, Painting Station, Video 360 and Photo Booth, Moon Bounce Stations, Game Trucks (with over 30 stations) and Organized Kickball. Please sign up if you are interested in participating in the tournaments. Signup sheets are available at the welcome center for each game. You are encouraged to sign up today.

Game Truck – 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM
Bible Trivia – 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 12:45 PM – 1:30 PM
Tours of Orange Drive – 12 Noon and 1:00 PM
Car Show - "Cruise In Car Show” – 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Car Show

Union Chapel will host a “Cruise In Car Show” during the 90th Church Anniversary Picnic from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. If you have a classic car, late models, imports, motorcycles, truck or sports car (all makes & models are welcome) that you would like to display, please contact Bro. Church Anniversary

Sunday, August 20

Join us as we culminate our 90^th Church Anniversary on Sunday, August 20^th at both the 9:00 AM and 12 Noon worship services as we embrace our anniversary theme (The Church Walking By Faith And Not By Sight). Pastor Gregory Haygood, of the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, located in South Bend, Indiana will be our guest speaker at the 9:00 AM worship service.

Anniversary Volunteers

The Fellowship Ministry is seeking volunteers to help with the upcoming events. If you have a heart to serve, smiling face, and willing to volunteer at least 2 hours, then we need YOU!!! We have a host of events planned to celebrate our 90th Church Anniversary and would like you to join us in making these events successful.

Specifically for the Anniversay Banquet, we are need of hostesses between the ages of 18 through 50. If you are interested in assisting with greeting, seating, directing and providing overall guidance to our guests, kindly contact Agnes Holley-Smith email your name, address, email address and phone number to no later than Friday, July 28^th.

90th Anniversary T-Shirts

The 90^th Anniversary T-shirt will be available for purchase, at cost to members. If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt information will be available next Sunday, July 30^th. Please refer to the upcoming church announcements for the date and time shirts will be available. We encourage everyone to wear the t-shirt for our 90th Anniversary Picnic.
